Terms of Service

1. About Nuhara

Nuhara is an online marketplace that connects independent wellness practitioners (“Practitioners”) with people seeking wellness experiences (“Seekers”). We provide the platform — booking, payments, and communication — but we are not a party to the wellness services themselves, and we do not provide medical advice, medical treatment, or healthcare services of any kind. Nothing on this platform should be construed as medical advice; users with medical concerns should consult a qualified healthcare professional. Nuhara is operated by Connor Nühsmann.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Nuhara. By creating an account you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you accept these terms.

3. Bookings and Payments

When a Seeker books a service, their card is authorised (but not charged) at the time of booking. Payment is only captured once the Practitioner confirms. If the Practitioner declines or does not respond in time, the authorisation is released automatically — no money ever leaves the Seeker's account. Nuhara charges a 10% platform fee on each confirmed booking, deducted from the Practitioner's payout.

Nuhara acts as a limited payment collection agent for Practitioners. When you pay for a booking, your payment obligation is to the Practitioner, not Nuhara. Nuhara collects payment on the Practitioner's behalf and retains a platform fee; the remainder is held in escrow and transferred to the Practitioner after the session is completed.

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Nuhara never stores your full card details.

4. Cancellations and Refunds

Seekers may cancel a booking subject to the following refund policy:

  • Within 12 hours of booking: full refund — a free-cancellation grace period that applies regardless of how close the session is
  • More than 24 hours before the session: full refund
  • Less than 24 hours before the session: 50% refund — the remaining 50% compensates the Practitioner for the last-minute cancellation
  • After the session has started: no refund

A booking that has not yet been confirmed by the Practitioner can be cancelled by the Seeker for a full refund at any time.

If a Practitioner declines a booking request or cancels a confirmed session, the Seeker receives a full refund regardless of timing. Refunds are processed by Stripe and typically appear within 5–10 business days.

A Practitioner may accept a booking request up until 12 hours before the session. If they have not accepted by then, the booking is automatically cancelled and the Seeker receives a full refund.

5. Practitioner Responsibilities

Practitioners are independent service providers, not employees of Nuhara. They are solely responsible for the quality, safety, and legality of the services they offer, and for ensuring that their listings and conduct comply with all applicable laws, regulations, licensing requirements, and professional standards in their jurisdiction. Practitioners must hold any relevant qualifications, certifications, licences, or permits required by local law.

Nuhara does not verify, endorse, or guarantee the qualifications, certifications, or legal compliance of any Practitioner. By creating a listing on Nuhara, Practitioners confirm that they hold all necessary qualifications and authorisations required to offer their services.

6. Prohibition of Medical Claims

Practitioners may not claim, suggest, or imply that their services diagnose, treat, cure, prevent, or otherwise address any medical condition, illness, or injury, unless they are legally authorised to make such claims in their jurisdiction. Listings containing unauthorised medical claims will be removed. Nuhara reserves the right to suspend or permanently ban Practitioners who violate this policy.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Post false, misleading, or fraudulent listings
  • Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
  • Circumvent the platform to arrange payments directly and avoid fees
  • Harass, threaten, or harm other users
  • Attempt to access accounts or data that is not yours

All users are also expected to follow our Community Guidelines, which set out the standards of behaviour we require from everyone on the platform.

8. Platform Rights and Content Moderation

Nuhara reserves the right to review, moderate, and where necessary remove any listing, profile, photo, or other content that we determine — at our reasonable discretion — to be:

  • False, misleading, or fraudulent
  • Of insufficient quality to meet our community standards
  • In violation of these Terms of Service
  • Harmful, offensive, or potentially dangerous to Seekers
  • Otherwise inconsistent with the integrity of the platform

Nuhara also reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate accounts that repeatedly or seriously violate these terms. Where possible we will notify the affected user and give them an opportunity to respond, except where doing so would compromise the safety of other users or the platform.

Content moderation decisions are made in good faith to protect the trust and safety of the Nuhara community. If you believe a moderation decision has been made in error, you may reach us through our contact form to request a review.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on Nuhara — including the name, logo, and design — belongs to Nuhara. Practitioners retain ownership of the content they upload (photos, descriptions) but grant Nuhara a licence to display it on the platform.

10. Limitation of Liability

Nuhara is a technology platform that connects independent Practitioners and Seekers. Nuhara is not a wellness service provider, and Practitioners are independent operators — not employees, agents, or representatives of Nuhara. Nuhara does not vet, endorse, or guarantee the conduct, qualifications, or identity of any user.

Users interact with each other at their own risk. Nuhara is not responsible for the actions, behaviour, or conduct of any Practitioner or Seeker, including but not limited to property damage, personal injury, loss, or harm arising from or related to a session booked through the platform.

Nuhara provides the platform "as is" and makes no guarantees about the quality or safety of any service listed. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Nuhara's total liability to any user — for any claim of any kind — is capped at the value of the individual booking transaction to which the claim relates. Nuhara is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss of any kind.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by email or by a notice on the site. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Germany. Where mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence provide greater protection, those laws shall apply to the extent required.
